Ex-theater director on probation accused of having child porn

The former director of a community theater group on Long Island is accused of having child pornography on his computer, according to the Suffolk County Police.
Vincent Sparagano, 42, of Lindenhurst, was already on probation for endangering the welfare of a child in Nassau County for sending suggestive messages to a 14-year -old who was part of Spotlight Players, police said. Sparagano used to be the director of productions for the theater group.
As a condition of his probation, police detectives and the county probation department were analyzing Sparagano's cell phone and computer when then found pornographic images of children, authorities said.
Sparagan surrendered to police Wednesday morning.
Authorities charged him with one count of possessing a sexual performance by a child. His arraignment is set for Thursday.
