President Barack Obama's Thursday night convention speech was moved indoors.

Democratic National Convention leaders blamed severe weather forecasted for Charlotte, North Carolina Thursday.

Mr. Obama will deliver his speech at the Time Warner Cable Arena, site of the 2012 Democratic National Convention, according to the Democratic National Convention Committee.

The original plan called for the President to accept his party's nomination in front of a crowd of thousands at the Bank of America Stadium.

The 2012 Democratic National Convention got underway Tuesday with speeches from First Lady Michelle Obama and Newark Mayor Cory Booker. It comes to a close Thursday night after  the President's speech.

Former President Bill Clinton is scheduled to address the crowd of delegates and Democratic supporters on Wednesday.

The Republican National Convention was held last week in Tampa, Florida.
