Two-time convicted killer receives death penalty

Posted: Updated:
PHOENIX -

A man was sentenced to death for a second time for the murder of his wife and two of her children Thursday morning.

David Anthony received the death penalty in 2002 for the killings. His wife Donna and her children were reported missing in July 2001.

A judge ordered a new trial because the original jury was allowed to hear evidence that he molested his step daughter.

In August, the new jury convicted Anthony of three counts of first degree murder again.

Between the two trials, in 2005, the bodies of Anthony's family were found buried in the desert. They were unearthed by a construction crew building a Wal-Mart in Buckeye.
