Flood watches and warnings

Posted: Updated:

TRENTON, N.J. (AP) -- Flood watches and warnings are in effect for much of New Jersey, and the rain is expected to continue falling.

The National Weather Service has put a flash flood warning in effect for parts of Burlington and Ocean Counties, where radars show that 6 to 8 inches fell from Monday night to Tuesday morning.

Some roads in the area have been reported flooded.

Much of the rest of central and southern New Jersey are under flood watches and advisories on Tuesday morning.

Forecasters say the Philadelphia region could get 2 to 4 inches more of rain through Wednesday.
