Fastrack returns to the 4, 5 and 6 lines

Posted: Updated:
MYFOXNY.COM -

Subway service along the 4, 5 and 6 Lexington Avenue line has been suspended in both directions.

The Fastrack initiative allows maintenance crews to perform subway maintenance to the subway system by completely suspending train service over a segment of a subway line.

The service suspension gives workers uninterrupted access to tracks, signals, cables, lighting, third rail components, and platform edges.

Service changes will take place from September 3 - 6 from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (for three nights only).

For more information on the service changes for the #4, #5 and #6 lines, visit mta.info.
