MTA officials say a man fainted and fell onto the tracks at the Times Square subway station, but avoided being struck by an oncoming train Sunday afternoon.

Officials said the unidentified man suffers from high blood pressure and fell at about 3:30 p.m. A north-bound #3 train came into the station and rolled over the man, but he was able to avoid contact with the train and electrified third rail.

EMS took him the man, who was unconscious, to Bellevue Hospital where his condition is not known at this time.

The MTA said subway service returned to normal shortly after the incident.
