The New York State Federation of Taxi Drivers is offering an award to help catch two men in a pair of attacks on livery cab drivers in the Bronx.

The organization spoke with NYPD detectives and believes the two suspects are behind the attacks.

They are offering a $1,000 for information leading to their arrest.

The first attack occurred on August 25 when a driver was assaulted with a hammer and his vehicle was stolen. Four days later, another cab driver was stabbed and remains in critical condition at Jacobi Hospital.

The cab driver's family joined federation officials and community members at a press conference in the Bronx Sunday afternoon. They called for an end to the violence.

The president of the federation Fernando Mateo, called for the NYPD to continue the controversial Stop-and-Frisk program as well as the Trip Program. The Trip Program allows police to stop cabs and ask if everything is OK.
