5 arrested during DWI checkpoint at Holland Tunnel

The Port Authority says its police made five arrests and issued 25 summonses for various motor vehicle violations during a drunken driving checkpoint set up at the Jersey City entrance of the Holland Tunnel.
A Port Authority spokesman said three drivers were charged with drunken driving, while two others were arrested after officers found they had outstanding warrants in New Jersey.
The checkpoint was set up from 10:00 p.m. Friday through 5:00 a.m. Saturday.
The PA says 125 vehicles were stopped during the operation and summonses were issued for various violations, ranging from drivers not wearing seat belts to vehicle equipment matters.
