Woman drowns in a pool on L.I.

A 30-year-old woman was found by police at the bottom of a Long Island pool and later died Friday night. 

Old Brookville police arrived to 5 Carol Lane in Upper Brookville where they witnessed the victim in the pool. Officer dove into the pool and pulled her out of the water and tried to revive her. 

The Norwich Fire Department took the unidentified victim to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead. 

Authorities say the victim was employed as a housekeeper at the residence. 

Police say there appears to be no criminality at this time and have determined the incident to be accidental.
