Boxing great Oscar De La Hoya was on Good Day New York on Thursday to talk about boxing coming to the new Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
The Barclays Center, located at the intersection of Flatbush and Atlantic Avenues, will host an inaugural boxing event on October 20, 2012.
Tickets prices will start at $50.
Oscar is president of Golden Boy Promotions, which currently has more than 60 fighters under contract, from Bernard Hopkins, Sugar Shane Mosley, Juan Manuel Marquez, Ricky Hatton, David Haye, Amir Khan, Marcos Madiana and Israel Vazquez.
Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment and Golden Boy Promotions will promote a minimum of 12 boxing events per year at the Barclays Center.
