Long Island Game Stop robbed

Employees at a Long Island Game Stop were forced to crawl to a back room and were bound during an early morning robbery.

Nassau County Police police say it happened at 12:45 a.m. Tuesday at the Game Stop at 2212 Sunrise Highway in Merrick.

According to detectives, two masked man armed with a handgun entered the store and ordered the two employees in the store to lay face down behind the counter.  Then they ordered them to crawl to the back room where they bound both victims' hands with charger cables and tape.

The thugs took cash, game consoles and games before running out through the back door.

The victims' were able to untie themselves and called police.  No one was hurt in the robbery.

The robbers are described as black, about 5'10" tall with thin builds.

Police want anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.  They say that all callers will remain anonymous.
