MONDAY - BEST DAY TO BUY ELECTRONICS

Buy TVs, computers, cameras, video games because manufacturers apply rebates/discounts today.

*Extra tip - also great day to buy car because it's a low foot traffic day, giving you more negotiating power.

TUESDAY- BEST DAY TO BOOK TRAVEL

Buy plane tickets, specifically Tuesday around 3 pm - this is when airlines post deals; this is when you'll find the newest deals and cheapest seats. Try sites like farecompare.com.

*Extra tip - also good day to buy gas before prices go up as weekend approaches.

WEDNESDAY - BEST DAY FOR ENTERTAINMENT

Bargain admission prices to movie theaters, shows, amusement parks, and miniature golf courses because it is a slow day.

THURSDAY - BEST DAY TO BUY CLOTHING

This is when department stores stock shelves for the weekend and start their sales. Best day for best selection.

FRIDAY - SATURDAY: SHOP ONLINE

Check stores near you, but no general rules for these days. Shop online and use coupon codes.

SUNDAY

Best day to buy big appliances (washers/dryers, stoves, fridges, etc.).

Also the best day to buy groceries -- this is when the sales start. Add Sunday coupons and weekly grocery store sales to maximize savings.
