Suspect named in fatal shooting in Brooklyn

The NYPD on Monday released the name and photo of the suspect in the fatal shooting of a 13-year-old in the Brownsville section of Brooklyn last week.

Detectives believe Akbar Johns, 17, shot Ronald Wallace at at Tapscott Street and Blake Avenue at about 12:42 a.m. Friday.

Wallace was rushed to Brookdale Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

He was one of several young people wounded or killed in numerous shootings in New York City this summer.
