Eye On Tropical Storm Isaac

Organizer's of next week's Republican National Convention are keeping a close eye are on Tropical Storm Isaac as it appears to be headed in a direction that could have an impact on Florida.

Fox 29 Meteorologist Caitlin Roth says Isaac is about 25 miles southeast of Guadeloupe, moving westward at 22 mph with sustained winds reported to be 45 mph.

The National Hurricane Center is tracking a path that will eventually bring it to the southwest corner of Florida.

According to the National Hurricane Center, Isaac is strengthening to a Category 1 hurricane and is expected to make landfall somewhere around the Fort Meyers area, just south of Tampa.
