An 18-year-old from Long Island was arrested for allegedly pointing a laser light at the eyes of a police officer aboard a boat patrolling the Great South Bay.

The green laser light temporarily blurred the vision of officer Robert Daniels while on routine patrol, according to Suffolk County police.

He was treated for laser light exposure at Stony Brook University Medical Center.

Daniels and other crew members of the Marine Kilo were able to pinpoint the source of the light coming from 200 Palmer Circle in Sayville just before midnight, according to investigators.

Erik Barry and a laser device were found at the house, according to police. Barry was arrested and charged with reckless endangerment.
