New York Yankees pitcher Michael Pineda was busted on suspicion of drunken driving in Tampa, Fla., according to authorities.

A Tampa police officer pulled over the injured pitcher at 2:35 a.m. for speeding and weaving on the road, the New York Post reported. The officer noted that Pineda had "bloodshot, watery and glassy" eyes, the reported said.

He was booked on a driving under the influence charge at 5:35 a.m. and released on a surety bond at 11:20 a.m., according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office website.

Pineda, 23, is not on the Yankees roster and is rehabbing a shoulder injury in the Tampa area.
