Second United Airlines flight makes emergency landing at Newark Airport

FAA officials say a United Airlines flight need to make an emergency landing after departing Newark Liberty Airport Sunday morning.
The emergency landing marks the second time in less than 24 hours that a United Airlines flight that departed from Newark had to make an emergency landing.
United flight 409 departed Newark en route to Seattle when there were reports of possible smoke in the cockpit and cabin. Officials said the flight crew noticed an unusual smell in the cockpit.
No injuries were reported. The plane returned the airport and landed safely around 9:15 a.m.
Saturday night Berlin bound United Flight 96 had to return to Newark after engine trouble.
