Gunshot victim celebrates 18th birthday

DETROIT, Mich. (WJBK) -

A Detroit teen, shot in the head at a party 7 months ago, graduates from high school and celebrates his 18th birthday.

Derrick Perry was shot in the head at a Detroit house party back in January. He was in the hospital for five months following a 6.5 hour operation.

Derrick plans to be a physical therapist, and was admitted to Spring Arbor University.
