N.J. town cheers for Little League team in World Series

The excitement could be felt early Friday morning when dozens of people donning Parsippany-Troy East Little League t-shirts -- some with painted faces and most with signs -- and lining up to board buses. They were ready to cheer on their champions in Williamsport in the Little League World Series.

The Little League team in Parsippany is the first in the league's 51 years to make it this far.

"This team's been playing together since they're 8 years old," said Rich Leitner of Par-Troy East Little League. "They've got team chemistry. And you hear the old saying there's no 'I' in team and that's what you get here."

"It's just really exciting like our town to get recognized for this--it's just amazing!" said Dominique LaCapra, a fan.

So even if you weren't lucky enough to board one of these buses headed to Williamsport, you could still show your team spirit here at home.

Par-Troy East shirts are selling out fast at the local Modell's.

"We actually had to do a second printing because we sold out of the first set and the entire town is just supporting these little guys so much," said Lee Brown, the Modell's store manager.

From people buying t-shirts to local businesses displaying signs, everyone is behind this winning team.
