NEW YORK (AP) - The former call girl famous for her tryst with ex-New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer is engaged to a New Jersey businessman and expecting a baby.

Ashley Dupre told the New York Post she's almost seven months pregnant. She and Thomas Earle have not yet set a wedding date.

Earle owns an asphalt and road construction company. She says he helped her open Femme by Ashley, a lingerie and swimwear shop in Red Bank, N.J., in May.

She declined to reveal the baby's gender, saying "It's a secret."

The two were linked months after it was revealed Spitzer was "Client 9" at Emperor's Club. Spitzer resigned in March 2008. Neither he nor Dupre were charged with a crime.

Dupre formerly wrote an advice column for the Post.
