Major League Baseball has suspended San Francisco Giants outfielder Melky Cabrera for 50 games without pay for testing positive for testosterone, a banned performance-enhancing substance, according to MLB.com.
Cabrera was the MVP of the All-Star Game this year.
He has played in the majors for eight seasons, inlcuding five with the New York Yankees.
