DETROIT (WJBK) -

Traffic is back to normal after flood waters slowed I-75 motorists near I-94 in Detroit Tuesday morning.

FOX 2's Amy Andrews reports pumps in the area lost power around 4:30 a.m. causing the rain water to flood I-75 underneath the I-94 overpass.

By 7:30 a.m., MDOT crews were able to restore power to the pumps using a generator. Soon after, the water began to recede.

The heavy rains came as storms moved across the state.
