Was Warren boy hit by car or did he just have a bad accident?

Posted: Updated:
WARREN, Mich. (WJBK) -

Richard Robinson, Junior is a worried father.  His son, Davion, just nine years old, is in Beaumont Hospital with a fractured skull.  They are checking for bleeding on the brain.  He is pretty much sedated and doesn't remember how he got there, not the accident, not the ambulance.

His parents only know what they heard from neighbors in their Warren subdivision Sunday evening when Davion out riding his bike smashed into a parked car on Timberline, flew into the air and landed on his head.

"They [said] they heard a car hit him.  They heard the big bang, but they didn't see the car that hit him," said mother Diamond Robertson.

But was there a car that hit him or did this nine-year-old boy on a bike just have a bad accident?

Warren police say it appears Davion accidentally ran his bike into a parked car, but the family just isn't sure.  They're asking anyone with any information to please come forward.

"His bike is on one end and this boy is down the street, and they left my son for dead," said his father.

If indeed there was a hit and run driver, either way these worried parents need to know what happened to their son.  Anyone with information is asked to please contact Warren police.
