Police in New Jersey arrested a murder suspect found hiding in a basement wrapped in blood-soaked bedding.

North Plainfield police arrested Felix Nehemias Graves Dardon, 32, early on Sunday morning.

He is accused of murdering a 30-year old Brooklyn woman.

Prosecutors say that North Plainfield Police received a 9-1-1 call at about 12:30 a.m. reporting a suspicious incident in a first floor apartment on Prospect Place.

Tenants told police that Dardon, who sublets a bedroom, had been standing naked in the kitchen cleaning up a blood covered floor.  They said that when he noticed he had been seen, he ran into the basement.

Police found Dardon in the basement and arrested him.

The body of a Hispanic female was found in an alley.  She had suffered severe and visible trauma to her body.

Dardon was charged with murder and was being held without bail.  Police did not release a motive or the identity of the victim.
