Man stabbed at L.I. Burger King

VALLEY STREAM, N.Y. (AP) -- A Long Island man has been arrested on an attempted murder charge following a fight at a fast food restaurant.

Nassau County police say officers responded to a Burger King in Valley Stream on Sunday in response a fight there. They found a 26-year-old man nearby with stab wounds to his neck, hands and leg. He was taken to a hospital in stable condition.

Police say 24-year-old Charles J. Miller Jr. was arrested after struggling with officers.

He was charged with second-degree attempted murder, possession of a dangerous weapon and resisting arrest.

He was to be arraigned Monday. It was not immediately known if he had a lawyer.
