A fire erupted in New Jersey causing a partial collapse of a house early Friday morning.

It happened at 216 Central Ave in Passaic.

The fire appeared to have spread to three neighboring homes.

"Twenty-seven minutes into the fire there was a collapse. There was a couple of explosions. There was a lot of damage," a witness told reporters on the scene.

At least three firefighters were injured including one who reportedly jumped from a second-story window, report NorthJersey.com.

The others sustained smoke inhalation crawling from the blaze after they became trapped.

As many as 25 people were displaced.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
