Fluorescent colored workout gear-- particularly sneakers-- are a big trend at the London 2012 Olympics.

From neon green, pink and yellow, the world's best athletes are stepping up their game in sneakers with an added pick me up.

"They're standing out because the colors on their feet are so bright. From a viewership point it makes you want to put on a pair and get out there," said Jaclyn Emerick, Fitness Editor at SELF magazine.

Fashion editors believe the neon fashion trend is going to last.

"We're not just seeing it in track and field... it can psyche you up," added Emerick.
