Nassau County Police say they arrested a man for reckless endangerment after he flew his plane too close to a high school last month.

Authorities say 49-year-old Marc Capus flew his 1972 Cessna over Bellmore near Kennedy High School and made sharp banking maneuvers at low altitudes on June 17.

Capus was flying at altitudes between 200 feet and 400 feet.

Control Tower personnel at Republic Airport in Farmingdale identified Capus to police after he landed his plane.

Federal Aviation Administration authorities accompanied police when they arrested Capus at his home on Saturday.
