An Oakland county mother is demanding answers after she says her three-year-old daughter was attacked on a school bus by another child.

Rebecca Reed says her daughter Caitlin, who is diagnosed with autism, has been going to a summer camp for special needs children run by the Huron Valley School District.

On Tuesday, Reed says Caitlin got off the bus at home covered with welts, bruises and even a black eye, all allegedly at the hands of an older boy.

"The boy had been upset. He had to be taken off something at the school and he had come on to the bus in a fit of rage and as he walked by he hit my daughter," said Reed. "They proceeded to take everyone off the bus except my daughter. They left her strapped in her seat, buckled in and everything. And as he walked by again he continued to hit on her some more."

Reed says a driver and another adult attendant were on board the bus at the time of the incident.

FOX 2 contacted the school district for comment. A spokesperson says it plans on launching a full investigation but could not comment further because the family is considering a lawsuit.
