Three schools have reportedly been added to New York City's 'persistently dangerous' schools list.
Junior High School 8 in Jamaica, Queens; P.S. 332 in Brownsville, Brooklyn and P.S. 109 in East Flatbush, Brooklyn were added after state officials failed to correctly identify violent incidents at schools across the city.
Once the correction was made, the schools were added.
The Education Department never alerted parents or students to the addition because it was too late in the school year, according to the NY Post.

Five people were injured when a van jumped a curb in downtown Brooklyn on Friday. The van rear-ended a Taxi and Limousine Commission vehicle at the corner of Church Ave. and Utica Ave. at about 7:45 a.m., said police. One of the pedestrians that was struck by the van was taken to Brookdale Hospital. Four other victims were taken to Kings County Hospital.
