The husband of "Real Housewives of New Jersey" cast member Teresa Giudice will stand trial on charges of obtaining a phony driver's license.
Giuseppe "Joe" Giudice on Monday rejected a plea deal of 5 years in prison. His wife didn't attend the hearing.
The 42-year-old could face up to 10 years in prison if he's convicted of using his brother's identity to obtain a driver's license while his own license was suspended in 2010.
Attorney Miles Feinstein tells The Record newspaper his client is being singled out for his celebrity status.
But Chief Assistant Passaic County Prosecutor Jay McCann says tampering with a license is a serious offense in the wake of the Sept. 11 attacks.
