A recent wave of gun violence in the city has residents asking: is crime on the rise?
GDNY spoke with Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, who is pushing a gun control bill in Congress, about the upswing.
"These stories break your heart. One of the problems we have in New York is that 90 percent of the guns in violent crimes are from out of state and 90 percent are illegal. My bill would help track the guns and the dealers," said Gillibrand.
