TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) -

Authorities have identified a driver accused in a hit-and-run accident in Tucson that killed an Arizona firefighter last month.

Tucson police announced Friday that they are searching for 39-year-old Jesus Xavier Zepeda in the June 28 crash.

Police say 25-year-old Sterling Lytle was a passenger in a car that was struck in a parking lot.

Witnesses say a pickup truck pulled behind the vehicle Lytle was in and began honking the horn and flashing its lights.

Lytle got out of the vehicle and was hit by the truck, which fled the scene.

Authorities say Lytle was taken to a Tucson hospital with life-threatening injuries. The Nogales firefighter was taken off life support on July 3. His funeral was July 9.

Police say they're looking for Zepeda and his truck.
