2 NYPD officers injured in fight with 'Dark Knight' moviegoers

NEW YORK (AP) -

Two New York Police Department officers have suffered injuries while trying to eject two disorderly people from a movie theater in the Bronx.

The NYPD says a man and woman began fighting with officers who were called to the Concourse Plaza Multiplex on Sherman Avenue at around 11:20 p.m. to remove them. Police say the two had gone to see "The Dark Knight Rises."

A male officer suffered lacerations to the head and finger and a female officer suffered ringing in her ears after being hit in the head. Both are in stable condition at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital.

Moses Flores, 38, and 29-year-old Damaris Sanchez, both were charged with assaulting a police officer.
