MYFOXNY.COM -

Bosses should have lie detectors at the ready when an employee walks in late.

A recent survey shows a majority of people lie about being stuck in traffic.

The Waze survey said 55% of people lie to their boss about being stuck in traffic.

In addition, the survey found that 55% of men use traffic as an excuse for being late in general as opposed to 48% of women.

People lie about traffic to their boss the most followed by their friends.

Younger drivers tended to lie most often.  The survey found that drivers between 18-34 years old are much more likely to use traffic as an excuse (57%) versus people ages 55+ who fib far less (41%).
