A North Carolina man was arrested and sent back to jail after refusing to leave after being released.

The Rockingham County Sheriff's Office says Rodney Dwayne Valentine, 37, was arrested on May 22, 2012 and was released from the Rockingham County Jail on July 21st at 8 a.m.

Around 1 p.m., deputies say Valentine was still at the Rockingham County Sheriff's Office and began insisting that deputies transport him to a local motel.

The deputies refused and told him to find his own ride or to hire a cab.

Valentine apparently didn't like the suggestion and refused to leave.

Deputies reportedly asked him to leave the property and when he refused, they finally rearrested him.

He was put back in the Rockingham County Jail and is scheduled to appear in court on August 9th on trespassing charges.
