Body identified as missing elderly Long Island man

A body found in the woods on Long Island Monday has been identified as an elderly man who went missing from his home on Friday, police said.
Sames Lafortune, 92, of Bishop McGann Drive in Central Islip, was found behind a commercial building on Creative Drive, less than a mile away from his home, police said.
Suffolk County cops had issued a Silver Alert after Lafortune was reported missing on July 20.
After investigating, police said Lafortune was not the result of foul play.
