A Massapequa man is accused of kidnapping his 32-year-old girlfriend at gunpoint.
The suspect's girlfriend and a 29-year-old woman were in a car parked on Merrick Road and Clocks Boulevard in Massapequa at about 7 p.m. on July 15th.
Nassau County police say that Kevin Benloss, 36, of 98 Stone Boulevard approached the car and pulled a gun on the women.
They say that Benloss told the other woman to get out of the car, jumped in, pointed his gun at his girlfriend and demanded she drive him to Amityville.
When they got to a home on Maple Place, police say that Benloss got out of the car and fired his gun into the air and at the car before running away.
No injuries were reported.
Benloss surrendered to police on Monday at 2:35 p.m. in Seaford.
He was charged with kidnapping, robbery, menacing, and criminal possession of a weapon. He was expected to be arraigned Tuesday in Hempstead.
