Fire at vacant Brooklyn factory burns for hours

A fire at a vacant factory in Brooklyn that broke out Monday afternoon was finally brought under control Tuesday morning.

More than 30 trucks and 200 firefighters responded to the fire at 3250 Fulton Street in Cypress Hills at about 3:30 p.m., the FDNY said.

The stubborn blaze was under control at about 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday, said officials.

The fire caused problems on an elevated subway line into Tuesday morning, officials said.

J train service was bypassing the Crescent Street Station in both directions. {visit MTA.info for updates}

Thick black smoke billowed into the sky.

Several surrounding streets remained closed.

Seven firefighters were reportedly injured.

The FDNY is investigating the cause of the fire.
