Detroit's Rainbow Push Coalition held a prayer vigil Sunday afternoon outside the AMC Star theater in Southfield. They remembered the lives lost in the mass shooting at a Colorado movie theater and also called for a ban on assault weapons. Police say James Holmes used the weapons to murder 12 people and wound dozens of others. Critics say the tragedy is being used to push political agendas.

Members of the group plan to travel to Washington DC to lobby for an assault weapons ban.
