A special tribute was held by the United States Postal Service in the Bronx Saturday celebrating the first issue of its new Joe DiMaggio "Forever" stamp.

The ceremony took place at the Bronx General Post Office on the Grand Concourse.

The stamp pays tribute to the Yankee Clipper who is best known for his 56-game hitting streak in 1941 – a record that still stands today.

The stamp sheets were sold exclusively at all post offices in the Bronx and select Manhattan offices.
