Several military personnel injured in Colo. shooting

Three members of the military were hurt and one is unaccounted for after a shooting at a Colorado movie theater.

The Department of Defense issued a statement Friday afternoon.  It said on sailor was injured and two airmen were injured in the incident.

One sailor who was known to have been at the theatre during the shooting is unaccounted for, according to the DoD.

The statement said:  "The Department of Defense is deeply saddened by the news of the tragic incident at the Aurora Mall Movie Theater in Aurora, Colo.  Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and the families of those impacted by this event."

The statement said that the Navy and the Air Force are working with the families of these service members to ensure they have the care and attention they need. 

The DoD says alleged gunman James Holmes is not a past or current member of any branch or component of the U.S. Armed Forces.

John McCallum and Brooke Nowakowski invented Spray Cake, an aerosol spray that releases air bubbles inside the batter, making the cake rise without baking soda or powder. “Because it is just cake batter and just changed the proportions of certain ingredients, it came out tasting great the first time,” said McCallum.

    A 6-year-old Shih Tzu mix that was found in an abandoned home in Lindenhurst two weeks ago now has a new home with a new family. Ziggy has been has been cleaned up and has undergone physical therapy. Babylon town employees took three and a half hours to remove nearly four pounds of matted hair after they found him. Ziggy's fur was so matted and his nails so overgrown that he could barely walk.
