ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (AP) -- Authorities have charged a man with leaving the scene of an accident that claimed the life of an Atlantic City man on a scooter.
Leo Strazzeri of Galloway Township is held on $50,000 bail.
The 42-year-old is accused of driving off after hitting 45-year-old Daniel Tavarez. Tavarez was going to buy milk on his motorized scooter when he was hit crossing Absecon Boulevard at 9:30 p.m. on July 9.
Strazzeri's lawyer, Steve Scheffler, tells The Press of Atlantic City his client was not driving and was not involved.
