People are so determined to be among the first to see the new Batman movie that they are camping out for good seats at sold out theaters.

"The Dark Knight Rises" opens to the general public at midnight on Friday morning.

People without tickets are turning to ticket resellers for tickets being sold for as much as $100.  Grouped tickets are commanding $500.

People were lined up outside the Lincoln Square AMC theater that boasts the city's only large IMAX screen.

People were already in line for the 3:58 a.m. Friday screening on Thursday evening.

It is the final installment of director Christopher Nolan's trilogy.  Passionate fans have threatened critics that have given the movie less than favorable reviews.
