Autopsy performed on bodies found in Detroit River

DETROIT (WJBK) -

The bodies belonging to a man and woman are found in the Detroit River. Now, investigators trying to piece together the details of this gory crime.

The medical examiner performed an autopsy today on the body parts, which included two torsos, 2 pairs of legs with feet attached and two sets of arms with hands attached. They belong to a white male and female, believed to be in their 30's.

The victims were both died from gunshot wounds. The man was shot multiple times in the head. The woman died from a single gunshot wound to the head. Police also found a bed sheet, circular saw and suitcase that might hold clues.

Investigators are now trying to determine where the crime took place. It's possible it may have taken place outside of Detroit. They're even looking at Canada as a possibility.
