Report: Gov. Christie to give keynote at GOP convention

Attendees to the Republican National Convention in Tampa next month have reportedly been told that N.J. Gov. Chris Christie will deliver the keynote address.
A top party activist tells the N.Y. Post that Republicans were told to be there by August 28 because that's when the governor will speak, according to the NY Post.
Rumors have circulated for months that Christie was on presidential contender Mitt Romney's short list of running mates.
