Pontiac police chase ends in crash

Posted: Updated:
PONTIAC, Mich. (WJBK) -

A Pontiac police chase ends with the driver crashing into a building and a police cruiser.

The 22 year old suspect ran a red light and then went down a one way street. The deputy turned on his sirens and lights, but the suspect kept on driving. Moments later, the vehicle crashed into a building, and then into the deputies car.

The deputy tried to arrest the young man, who continued to put up a fight.

Police believe there was one other person inside the vehicle prior to the crash. They believe that person bailed, likely because he had a gun.

The suspect is now charged with a multitude of felonies, including operating under the influence.
