Over 500 swimmers made their way across the East River in the seventh annual "Brooklyn Bridge Swim" Sunday.
The one-kilometer swim, which began at the beach in Brooklyn Bridge Park, concluded under the Brooklyn Bridge, finishing on the Manhattan side in East RiverPark (at the corner of Dover Street and South Street, just north of the South Street Seaport.
This year's winner was Bruce Brockschmidt of Mt. Laurel, NJ, who finished in a little over 13 minutes.
