Astronaut with N.J. ties head to International Space station

A Japanese astronaut with ties to New Jersey is on his way into space. 

Akihiro Hoshide, who as a boy, attended the Japanese Weekend School in Paramus. 

Hoshide is aboard the Russian Soyuz Spacecraft headed for the International Space Station with American Sunita Williams and Yuri Malenchenko of Russia.  

The three astronauts will stay at the International Space Station for about four months.
