Fox 2 talks to Bayview Mackinac Race sailors, chairman

PORT HURON, Mich. (WJBK) -

It is one of the most challenging boat races in the world.  The Bell's Beer Bayview Mackinac Race gets underway Saturday.  Over 200 sailboats and more than 2,000 sailors will be participating in the event.

Fox 2's Alan Longstreet talked to a couple of those sailors, as well as race chairman and seven time winner Greg Thomas.  Click on the video above to watch as Thomas talks about the economic impact of the race and some changes for this year.
